IFCO Pat Whelan Youth Fund

We are calling for care leavers to apply for the IFCO 2016 Pat Whelan Youth Fund Award.

The aim of this annual initiative is to support young people in and from care with their registration or accommodation arrangements to attend IFCO 2016 European Conference.

How to apply for the fund

Whether you are planning to attend but have limited funds or your attendance is contingent upon receiving assistance through the IFCO Pat Whelan Youth Fund, please let us know by filling in the following form. We will be reviewing applications on a rolling basis until 1 July 2016 and will let you know how we can best utilise the available resources. Please note that in order to qualify for the IFCO 2016 Pat Whelan Youth Fund Award, all applicants must be between 14 and 28 years of age and hold current Youth Membership with IFCO (or represent IFCO Organisational member) to fit the requiring criteria.

About IFCO Pat Whelan Youth Fund

The IFCO Pat Whelan Youth Fund was founded in 2007 in memory of IFCO member and former volunteer Administration Secretary Pat Whelan from Ireland. Since then, through individual and corporate donations, youth in care and care leavers from various parts of the world have been able to meet and learn from each other, advocate on behalf of care leavers at the international level and be globally heard. We welcome any donations to the IFCO Pat Whelan Youth Fund through IFCO fundraising page on GlobalGiving.

Individual sponsorships

If you consider donating towards the costs of youth from particular regions or countries as a way of promoting youth in care and careleaver participation from those places, please let us know. We are very willing to match your sponsorship with a selected shortlist of countries. To find out more please take a look at our sponsorship proposal.
